Where can you find more about the environmental impact of mining?

 

1.     The FRONT 40 has a web page www.menomineeriver.com that is a resource for information.  There are links to web sites that will give you factual data of what metallic mineral mining has done to the environment.

 

2.     Our partner in protecting our watersheds, the Crandon, WI group(s) (they have been working for over 25 years to protect the Wolf and Fox Rivers) have a web page www.nocrandonmine.com that has a wealth of information.  Their web page offers many links to answer your questions.

 

 

3.     Use an Internet search engine and request information on Acid Mine Drainage or Al Gedicks or mineral mine disasters.

 

4.     The local library(s) have books on Acid Mine Drainage.

 

 

5.     Come to the Public Meetings and have your questions answered.
