What are the upcoming events?

 

 

1.     The FRONT 40 requested the DNR hold a Public Meeting before the 17,500 acres of state land and mineral rights are considered to leased to the Menominee River Exploration Company, LLC.  The DNR has honored that request and will be holding a meeting mid-May.  The DNR will be determining location, date, and time.  The DNR will have the Public Meeting notice in our local papers.  They will have ‘question and answer’ as part of their agenda.

 

2.     The FRONT 40 has joined an alliance with the WI groups that are protecting the watersheds of the Fox and Wolf Rivers.  This WI/MI alliance has been formed to protect the watersheds of the Green Bay.  We will be holding a WI/MI Public Forum on the impacts of metallic mineral mining and the community economy.  The meeting will be in Marinette on JULY 26^th .   When the time and location have been determined their will be a news release to all local papers.  Information for the meeting will be available on the FRONT 40’s web page. www.menomineeriver.com.
